Overview
Experience the definitive cross-border odyssey with our 18-Day Siem Reap to Hoi An Cycling Adventure. This meticulously designed expedition is more than just a bike tour; it is a profound journey through the soul of Indochina, bridging the gap between the ancient Khmer Empire and the vibrant, sun-drenched coastlines of Vietnam. Starting in the spiritual heart of Cambodia—Siem Reap—you will pedal through centuries of history, navigate the lush "Water World" of the Mekong Delta, traverse the bustling energy of Saigon, and finally follow the rhythmic waves of the East Sea to the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An.
Your journey begins amidst the golden-roofed monasteries and jungle-entwined ruins of the Angkor Archaeological Park. From the exquisite pink sandstone of Banteay Srei to the mysterious faces of Bayon, cycling allows you an intimacy with these ancient stones that no bus tour can offer. We then transition via speedboat across the vast Tonle Sap Lake to the capital, Phnom Penh, before crossing the international border into Vietnam's verdant Mekong Delta.
The Vietnamese leg of the tour is a masterpiece of variety. You will cycle along narrow canal-side paths in Can Tho and Tra Vinh, experiencing the legendary hospitality of local fruit farmers. After a well-deserved rest in Ho Chi Minh City, the challenge turns toward the coast. You will pedal through the red sand dunes of Mui Ne, the turquoise bays of Nha Trang, and the pristine coastal roads of Quy Nhon. The final chapter takes you through the sobering history of the My Lai Massacre site before reaching the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hoi An. This 18-day voyage is a celebration of human endurance, cultural discovery, and the breathtaking beauty of Southeast Asia.
