Overview
A Journey Through the Soul of the "Halong Bay on Land"
Are you ready to swap the frantic energy of Hanoi for the rhythmic sound of pedals and the whispering wind of the Red River Delta? Our 2-Day Ninh Binh Cycling Adventure is a masterfully crafted odyssey designed for those who believe that the best way to discover a country is from the saddle of a bike. This journey takes you deep into the heart of Ninh Binh province, a region so spectacular it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for both its cultural and natural grandeur.
Over two exhilarating days, you will traverse the "veins" of the legendary "Halong Bay on Land." Your adventure begins in the 10th-century capital of Hoa Lu, where history is etched into the very limestone walls that protected ancient kings. You will pedal through a landscape that feels like a traditional ink wash painting—where towering karst massifs rise abruptly from emerald green rice paddies.
But this tour is more than just scenery. It is about the spirit of the water. You will glide through the subterranean mysteries of the Tam Coc grottoes and witness the resilient, unique lifestyle of the Kenh Ga floating village. Here, life happens entirely on the river, offering a fascinating glimpse into an aquatic culture that has remained unchanged for generations. With every turn of the wheel, you will encounter the warm smiles of the locals, explore hidden pagodas nestled in cliffs, and breathe in the purest air Northern Vietnam has to offer. This is the ultimate active escape, blending heritage, adventure, and the raw, unfiltered beauty of rural Tonkin.

I had a lovely time on the Golden Cycling Tours Ninh Bình bike tour. The route was scenic, passing through quiet countryside and picturesque rivers. The tour was well-organized, but I would have loved a little more time at each stop to explore the sites more. Still, a great day out and a perfect way to see the region.
