Overview
THE GREEN HEART OF NORTHERN VIETNAM
Discover the mesmerizing landscapes and rich ethnic heritage of Northern Vietnam on our 6-Day Mai Chau, Cuc Phuong & Ninh Binh Cycling Odyssey. This expedition is meticulously designed for those who want to experience the "soul" of the country—where serpentine roads wind through emerald rice paddies, ancient rainforests breathe with life, and monumental limestone karsts rise like sentinels from the earth.
Our journey begins in Hanoi, the vibrant capital, before whisking you away to the idyllic Mai Chau Valley. Here, you will find a world of peace, inhabited by the White Thai people in their iconic wooden stilt houses. The cycling here is a sensory delight, with paths that hug the contours of the valley floor, offering intimate glimpses into a way of life that has remained resilient for centuries.
From the valley, we venture into the prehistoric depths of Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and largest national park. Pedal under a dense canopy of primary forest, breathe in the crisp, oxygen-rich air, and witness a biodiversity hotspot that is home to ancient trees and rare primates.
The final crescendo of our tour takes us to Ninh Binh, often described as the "Halong Bay on Land." You will navigate quiet country lanes that twist between soaring limestone needles, explore the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, and glide on a traditional sampan boat through the hidden river caves of Tam Coc. With the expert support of Golden Cycling Tours, professional-grade equipment, and a dedicated team, this 6-day loop is the ultimate balance of physical challenge and spiritual rejuvenation in the heart of the Orient.

A fantastic trip with Golden Cycling Tours! The tour covered Ninh Bình, Mai Châu, and Pu Luong, and each place was more beautiful than the last. Cycling through Ninh Bình’s dramatic karst landscape, Mai Châu’s peaceful valley, and Pu Luong’s rice terraces was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The guides were fantastic, and they made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Golden Cycling Tours made sure this trip was challenging in the best way possible! The stunning views, well-maintained roads, and fantastic itinerary made every moment unforgettable.
Peaceful and Natural Place We have 6 days trip in Mai Chau and Ninh Binh. It is very great because everything in here are very natural and pristine. We have guided by local person in here. His name is Kiet and he is nice and enthusiastic guide. His English is very good and we have known a lot of Mai Chau and Ninh Binh. We take a boat to visit the bird garden in Thung Nham. The weather is very fine and we have experienced the green and large of the Bird Garden with the thousands of birds in here. It is very fabulous. The food is not diversified but all are delicious and clean. The accommodation cannot complain any word because we arranged in nice room with comfortable beds with air condition and fresh air in the early morning in Mai Chau. Thank for Golden Cycling Tours to help us to have a great tour.
