Overview
THE ROOF OF INDOCHINA ON TWO WHEELS
Are you ready to test your limits against the most formidable and magnificent mountains in Southeast Asia? The "Northwest Vietnam Biking Trip" is a 9-day legendary loop designed for cyclists who crave high-altitude challenges and deep cultural rewards. This journey takes you through the heart of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, home to Fanispan, the highest peak in Indochina, and across the "Four Great Passes" that define the rugged beauty of Northern Vietnam.
Our expedition starts with the iconic ascent to Sapa, where you will conquer the O Quy Ho Pass, standing at over 2,000 meters above sea level. From the misty heights of Lao Cai, we descend into the dramatic valleys of the Black River toward Muong Lay and the historic basin of Dien Bien Phu. Here, history comes alive as we cycle past former battlefields and monuments of the 1954 victory.
The route then leads us through the undulating hills of Son La and into the serene, emerald-green valley of Mai Chau. Beyond the physical challenge, this tour is a living tapestry of ethnic diversity. You will share the road with H’Mong, Thai, and Dzao people, staying in authentic stilt houses and experiencing the legendary hospitality of the highlands. This is more than a cycling trip—nó là một cuộc hành trình chinh phục bản thân giữa thiên nhiên hùng vĩ của vùng Tây Bắc.
