Cat Ba island belongs to Hai Phong province. It takes about one hour boat to reach this island from Hai Phong city. With its total area 354 km ², this island is the largest island in Halong Bay. It is decorated with splendid beaches between small fishing villages, deserve to take a break after the visit of the famous Halong Bay.
With over three hundred rocky islets, it forms an archipelago that lies about 20 km to south of the famous Halong Bay and 48 km to the east of Hai Phong (2:30 by boat).
