Overview
The 15-Day Real Cycling Adventure from the Mekong Delta to Siem Reap is a meticulously crafted journey that takes you through the very heart of Indochina. This expedition is designed for the traveler who seeks to go beyond the typical tourist trails and experience the authentic rhythm of life along the mighty Mekong River. Starting from the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), we pedal through the historic Cu Chi Tunnels before diving into the emerald "Water World" of the Mekong Delta.
This is more than just a bike tour; it is a sensory odyssey. You will navigate a labyrinth of narrow canal paths, fruit orchards, and floating markets in Cai Be, Vinh Long, and Can Tho. The transition from Vietnam to Cambodia is a highlight of the trip, as we trade the bustling waterways for the tranquil, dusty backroads of Kampot and Takeo. You will experience the stark contrast between the French-colonial charm of the riverside towns and the deep, spiritual history of the Khmer people.
The final leg of our adventure brings us to the magnificent capital of Phnom Penh, where we explore the city's complex history by traditional cyclo. From there, we head north towards the grand finale: Siem Reap. Cycling through the jungle to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat, exploring the enigmatic faces of Bayon, and visiting the "Citadel of Women" at Banteay Srei offers an intimacy with history that only a bicycle can provide. With a professional support team, high-quality gear, and expert local guides, this 15-day marathon is the ultimate way to witness the soul of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Tour Plan
Greetings from Vietnam. When you arrive at Tan San Nhat International Airport, a driver and guide from Golden Cycling Tours will meet you and take you to the hotel located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Known by its former name, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is known as "the pearl of the Far East." One of the most memorable place names in Asia is undoubtedly Saigon, the biggest and busiest city in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City has the most Western atmosphere of any Vietnamese city. Amazing contrasts can be found in this city: upscale new international hotels, upscale dining establishments, and hip clubs coexist alongside roadside noodle stands, noisy cyclo drivers, and street kids. Markets, pagodas, karaoke clubs, and golf courses compete for space with bowling alleys, shopping centers, and golf courses. The adjectives "bustling," "booming," "crowded," and "noisy" barely begin to describe Saigon's addictive and frequently captivating chaos. However, there are also the majestic French colonial boulevards and buildings, the Cathedral, the waterfront, and the peaceful times spent at a sidewalk cafe taking in the breathtaking view of the world passing by at a fast pace. When you get to the hotel, sign in and enjoy some alone time. If there is time, we will spend a half-day exploring the War Remnants Museum, the Sai Gon Central Post Office, Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Ben Thanh Market. Afterward, we will head back to the hotel for a quick regroup and itinerary review before heading out to supper.
