Overview
The 33-Day Grand Indochina Cycling Expedition is the ultimate "Holy Grail" for adventure cyclists worldwide. Spanning three countries and thousands of kilometers, this marathon journey takes you from the bustling metropolis of Bangkok to the historic streets of Ho Chi Minh City. This is not merely a tour; it is a life-changing challenge that traverses the diverse tapestry of Southeast Asian landscapes—from the flat, sun-baked plains of Thailand’s Isan region and the rugged, misty mountains of Northern Laos to the iconic heritage sites and sparkling coastline of Vietnam.
Your odyssey begins with the lush greenery of Khao Yai National Park before heading into the heart of Northeast Thailand (Isan), a region known for its authentic culture and spicy cuisine. We cross the Mekong into Vientiane, the serene capital of Laos, and begin a legendary climb through the limestone karsts of Vang Vieng and the high-altitude passes of Kiew Ka Cham, reaching the spiritual sanctuary of Luang Prabang.
The adventure reaches new heights as we cross into Vietnam. You will experience the heroic history of Dien Bien Phu, the awe-inspiring terraced fields of Sapa, and the colonial elegance of Hanoi. From the capital, we follow the "Ho Chi Minh Trail" and the coast, visiting a string of UNESCO World Heritage sites: Phong Nha Caves, the imperial city of Hue, and the ancient town of Hoi An. The final stretch takes you along the stunning South Central Coast, through white-sand beaches and fishing villages, before our triumphant arrival in the vibrant Saigon. This 33-day voyage is the definitive way to experience the soul of Indochina at the speed of a pedal stroke.
