Overview
THE GRAND NORTHWEST CYCLING EXPEDITION
Embark on the 7-Day Northwest Vietnam Bike Trip, a premier cycling expedition that traverses the most spectacular mountain ranges and culturally rich regions of Indochina. This journey is meticulously designed for those who want to experience the raw, unadulterated beauty of the "Tonkin Alps," moving from the historic urban pulse of Hanoi to the legendary rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai and the high-altitude splendor of Sapa.
Our odyssey begins with an intimate bicycle exploration of Hanoi, navigating hidden alleys and ancient landmarks. From there, we leave the lowlands behind to enter the world of ethnic minorities. You will pedal through the emerald valleys of Mai Chau, home to the White Thai people, and traverse the rugged landscapes of Son La. The true heart of this trip lies in Mu Cang Chai, where you will witness the most breathtaking rice terraces on Earth—a National Heritage site that defies gravity.
The challenge culminates as we tackle the legendary Khau Pha and O Quy Ho passes—two of Vietnam’s "Four Great Passes." You will climb above the clouds, reaching altitudes that offer panoramic views of Fansipan Peak before descending into the misty, alpine atmosphere of Sapa. This tour is more than a physical challenge; it is a deep dive into the soul of Northwest Vietnam, featuring authentic homestays, traditional cuisine, and encounters with H'Mong, Dzao, and Thai communities. With professional support vehicles, premium mountain bikes, and expert guides, we invite you to write your own adventure on two wheels.
